FAQ & Session Policies

Hi there — I’m so glad you’re here! I can’t wait to create beautiful, polished images together. This page covers everything you’ll need to know to prepare, book confidently, and set expectations for your session and delivery.

Please allow up to 48 hours for a response, excluding weekends, as that is our busiest time for photo sessions.

Booking & Payment

Deposit:

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your session and will be applied toward your total.

For services priced at $100 or less, full payment is due at the time of booking.
Need to reschedule? Deposits are transferable if notice is given at least 24 hours in advance.
If a reschedule or cancellation is made less than 24 hours before your session, you will need to submit a new deposit that will not go toward the remaining balance of the session.

Cancellations made before the 24 hour mark are welcome to rebook using their deposit for up to 30 days.

Final Payment:

The remaining balance is due immediately after your session and will be charged to the card on file.

Our Studio

Welcome to our in-studio experience, featuring beautiful seamless paper backdrops in a variety of vibrant colors and tones.

Please note: If your session takes place at an outside venue (hotel, Airbnb, event space, rooftop, etc.), clients are responsible for securing any required permissions, reservations, or photography permits prior to the session.

What to Bring & Session Flow

The studio includes a restroom and makeup station, so you are more than welcome to arrive comfortably and change on-site. A 15-minute preparation buffer is built into most sessions for wardrobe changes, makeup touch-ups, or final adjustments.
Example: A Signature Portrait Session with 1 outfit is scheduled for 45 minutes total — including approximately 30 minutes of shooting time and 15 minutes for preparation.
Please note: Luxury Mini Sessions require clients to arrive fully dressed and camera-ready.
A 15-minute grace period is allowed for late arrivals. After 15 minutes, a $25 late fee will be applied and your session time will be shortened accordingly. Session times will not be extended under any circumstance due to lateness.
To maintain a comfortable studio environment, guests are limited to no more than two additional people unless otherwise approved in advance.
Food, drinks, and personal playlists are welcome. We simply ask that all guests help keep the studio clean, tidy, and free of spills.

Studio Rules

To maintain the quality and safety of our shared creative space:

No popping champagne inside the studio — liquid can easily damage lighting and camera equipment.
No confetti is permitted. The studio flooring is concrete, and confetti is extremely difficult to clean.
Be mindful and respectful of studio property and props at all times.
Please dispose of all trash and personal items before leaving the space.

Please note that the studio is a shared creative space. At times, multiple photographers may be working simultaneously, with each setup separated by partial walls or dividers to provide privacy while accommodating the high volume of sessions within the studio.
If you require a fully closed or private session for any reason, please email us immediately prior to booking or as soon as possible so we can discuss accommodations and availability.

Delivery & Edits

Proofs are delivered within 3 business days of your completed session (excluding weekends).
Once you’ve selected your favorite images, your retouched images will be delivered within 7 business days after we receive your selections.
Please note that this excludes weekends.
Due to the high volume of weekend sessions, final photos and proofs are not delivered on weekends.
We also do not respond to emails during the weekend. If you contact us between Friday evening and Sunday, we’ll respond on Monday as early as possible.
Need them sooner? Rush options are available:
- Same-day to 2-day turnaround: $100
- 2–3 day turnaround: $75
Additional retouched images are $25 each.
Revision requests are $10 per image unless due to an error on our part.

(Note: the retouching style you see throughout my portfolio represents the art and finish you’re investing in.)

Image Rights & Usage

All images are copyrighted and owned by Alexus B Photography (AMF Management LLC).
Your photos will never be sold or shared without notice, and I will always credit appropriately.
If you’d prefer that your images not be shared publicly until after an event or announcement, please let me know — I’m happy to accommodate.

Rescheduling, Cancellation & Tardiness

Clients may reschedule once with at least 24 hours’ notice without penalty.
Reschedules made within 24 hours of your session will require full payment.
A 15-minute grace period is provided for all sessions. After that window, a $25 late fee applies and session time will be shortened (no extensions).
Booking and payment confirm your agreement to these policies.
All sales are final.

Special Requests & Add-Ons

Special Edits are advanced, highly customized Photoshop compositions that go beyond standard retouching and color grading. These edits involve creating or transforming an entire scene to bring a creative concept to life.

This may include:

Creating custom sets or fantasy-inspired environments
Background replacements or complete scene alterations
Adding props, objects, textures, smoke, flowers, graphics, reflections, etc.
Compositing multiple images together
Adding duplicate versions of yourself into one image
Extensive digital artwork or surreal concepts
Large-scale object manipulation (oversized props, floating elements, cityscapes, themed scenes, etc.)
TV screen effects, environmental builds, fantasy landscapes, luxury interiors, or editorial composites
Detailed masking, blending, warping, and digital painting work

These edits are significantly more time-intensive than standard retouching and require advanced compositing and graphic design techniques to achieve the final look.

Special Edit Pricing:
+$65 per edited image

(First special edit may occasionally be complimentary during promotional periods.)

Please note:

Special edits must be discussed prior to your session whenever possible.
Complex concepts may require additional consultation time or design fees depending on the level of customization.
RAW images are still required to achieve the highest-quality final composite.
Turnaround times for special edits may be longer than standard edits due to the extensive post-production process involved.
